The Muslim Snow Patrol project has been running since winter 2013. The project falls under Islamic Diversity Centres ethos to provide care for the elderly and vulnerable. Volunteers go out with their shovels and spades to clean up the drives of our elderly neighbours who are situated in areas of high risk of snow. Clearing the snow away from their drives allows the elderly to come in and out of their homes safely and whenever possible, members often offer to bring in their shopping to save the elderly tenants a trip out in the cold snow.
